This digital installation is part of a research called Transnational Radio Meetings, which seeks to explore how radio crosses the linguistic and geographical barriers.

Radio.Garden is an interactive web page and not an application, therefore there is nothing to download, neither commercial nor advertising, anyone can access only with the link.

Radio Garden is an app that lets users listen to music programs, news, and talk shows from across the world, save their favorite stations, and share the experience with friends.

The mobile solution developed by a team in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, aims to help users connect with people and cultures around the globe. Therefore, it grants access to thousands of live radio stations from almost every country. Anyone gets the chance to explore the extensive collection of options based on personal preferences.

The app has an intuitively-designed interface and detects your current location to offer a set of initial recommendations. Afterward, you must zoom out and rotate the globe to reach another city or country. Furthermore, you may take advantage of the quick search feature to discover new radio stations in specific areas or music genres.

Every green dot on the interactive map represents a city or a town, and its size depends on the number of options available in that area. When rotating the globe or tapping on another location, the radio station changes automatically. For this reason, users should tap the lock icon to continue playing the same music or news program. Moreover, they can create a favorites list and share radio stations with family, friends, or schoolmates directly from the app.
